What Friends Do

  • Advocate and support the Dane County Bookmobile.
  • Provide funding to keep the Bookmobile shiny and the collection excellent. 
  • Build community across Dane County's Bookmobile stops.

The Dane County Bookmobile is a program of the Dane County Library Service.  It was started in 1967 to serve areas of Dane County not served by a municipal library.

Bookmobile stops are made throughout the County. The Bookmobile travels with a collection of over 4,000 items available for borrowing — books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.
